EnerWealth’s Unique Model

Some solar developers believe larger systems result in the best returns for them; however, here at EnerWealth, we do things a little different.

  • System Scale -

    • We build at community scale, typically 1 - 5MW systems requiring less than 30 acres, because we believe smaller systems strategically sited can reduce line losses.

  • Farmland Use -

    • When we develop at a smaller scale it also reduces the loss of agricultural land taken out of production.

  • Landowner Selection -

    • Finally, we want to work with small landholders who either do not have or not interested in using vast amounts of land for a solar project.

Ultimately, our vision is not just to bring clean energy to the grid, reduce costs, and support rural economic development, but to participate in a larger national transition towards local energy democracy and responsible environmental stewardship.

Passive Income

Solar land leasing is a great way to create passive income. Some of our projects can even be paired alongside ongoing farming operations, so farmers who qualify can diversify their income.

Intergenerational Impact

An average solar land lease lasts for 30 years. Participating landowners are paid $500 for each year during their Option to Lease and then $700 per acre per year during the long-term lease.

Community Engagement

Unique profit share model that supports small and minority landowners + funnels a portion of revenue back into the local community. EnerWealth projects help support your community through direct community engagement and local job hiring.

Environmental Health

Projects also provide pollinator habitats surrounding the sites. A properly planned pollinator habitat provides a diversity of nectar and pollen sources for insects, birds and bats who play a crucial role in the production of most fruits and vegetables.
