What is the process of leasing my land for solar?

  • Step One

The first step is to assess site conditions and complete legal checks on zoning, ownership, mineral rights, easements, tax abatements, and title restrictions. This compliance process may take weeks to finish thoroughly.

  • Step Two

If favorable, sign a Letter of Intent or Option to Lease. Technical and environmental studies, including electrical and civil interconnection, follow. These may last up to 18 months while you continue using your land.

  • Step Three

After studies conclude, financing is secured and permits are resolved, construction begins. At this stage, we sign a Long Term Lease. Depending on project size, construction may take up to 12 months before operation.

  • Step Four

Once construction is complete, the solar farm operates for 25–35 years. A small staff will monitor the site daily, with occasional service personnel handling maintenance to ensure reliable electricity production long-term.
